Academy Expectations: Equipment and Personal Organisation
Tue 03 Nov 2026
We would like to remind you of the academy’s expectations regarding equipment and personal organisation. We would be grateful for your support in ensuring that your child arrives at the academy fully equipped and ready to learn each day.
Equipment and Personal Organisation
It is essential that all students develop good organisational habits and take responsibility for bringing the correct equipment to school. This is a shared responsibility between students and parents or carers.
School Bag
All students must bring a suitable school bag that is large enough to carry the following items:
- An A4 workbook
- Their school planner
- Their PE kit, when required
- A reading book for students in Years 7, 8 and 9
Students who arrive without a suitable school bag will be issued with a temporary replacement for the day and will receive a C4b sanction.
Daily Equipment
Students are expected to have the following items on their desk in every lesson:
- School planner, free from graffiti or damage
- Black pen
- Pencil
- Ruler
- Whiteboard pen
- Purple pen
Regular equipment checks will take place to ensure that students are prepared and ready to learn.
Although not compulsory, we also recommend that students bring a pencil case, eraser and any additional stationery they may find useful. We strongly recommend that all students have a scientific calculator. The preferred model for examinations is the Casio FX-83GT-CW+.
Students who repeatedly arrive without the required equipment will receive a C4 detention. If a school planner is lost or defaced, parents or carers will be expected to purchase a replacement through ParentPay.
Replacement Equipment
Any student requiring replacement equipment can collect it from Mr Stamp in the atrium before 8:10 am.
We appreciate your continued support in helping students develop positive organisational habits and ensuring they are fully prepared for learning each day.
Thank you for your support and cooperation.
