Outwood Grange Academies Trust invite your comments on the proposed admission arrangements for the schools for 2022/23 academic year. Please note that this consultation runs from 4 December 2020 to 29 January 2021. Comments should be emailed to

Published Admission Number Consultation
Outwood Grange Academies Trust as the admissions authority for the schools is consulting the published admission number for the schools. It is not proposed to change the admission number and for it to remain at 300 for both schools.

Proposed Admission Arrangement
The admission authority would also like to consult on a change to the over subscription criteria for the schools. The proposal is to add an additional criteria of: The children of staff in the following circumstances:
● where the member of staff has been employed for 2 or more years at the time at which the application for admission to the school is made; and/or
● the member of staff is recruited to fill a vacant post for which there is a demonstrable skill shortage.
In addition a change to the oversubscription criteria as follows: A change to the nominated ‘feeder’ primary schools. This would name all primary schools previously named as a feeder to either Portland or Valley as feeder schools to both of the secondary schools. This would also be expanded to include Holy Family Catholic Primary School, Worksop.

Sixth Form Admissions Policy
We are also consulting on the admissions policy for our Post 16. It is not proposed to change the admission number, entry requirements of over subscription criteria from previous years. A copy of the proposed sixth form admissions policy can be viewed using the link below.
