Y10 Information Evening: Tuesday 24 November 2026 (5-5.45pm)
Thu 15 Oct 2026
Y10 Information Evening - Tuesday 24th November 5:00pm to 5:45pm
Firstly, I would like to thank you for all your support in ensuring that your child has had a positive first half term in Year 10. It has been a fantastic start with Y10 making great progress in their core and option subjects, in the early stages of their GCSE and/or BTEC qualifications.
In order to maximise the potential of our students in their curriculum over the coming months and years, we would like to offer the opportunity for you and your child to attend a Year 10 Information Evening.
This event will take place on 24th November, between 5:00pm and 5:45pm and will consist of guidance aimed specifically at all Year 10 students and their parents and carers on how to maximise their performance in Y10 in order to achieve their full potential in Y11 when they complete their final GCSE year.
The evening will consist of a presentation in the Hall at 5:00pm from Mr Tice (Vice Principal) and Miss Fairest (Assistant Principal) with key information and top tips about English, Maths, Science and Humanities (History and Geography). These are the subjects that all students study in common. A handout will also be given out with key information and top tips from all other option subjects. After the talk there will be an opportunity to ask questions and speak to key members of staff.
We hope it will provide you with an ideal opportunity to meet some of the staff in school who support your child’s progress. It will also enable you to find out what the students can do to make progress as they begin their GCSE/BTEC subjects and ensure that they are in the best position possible when they move into Y11.
Tea, coffee and biscuits will be available from 4.45pm in the Atrium.
We hope you can join us. Please let us know if you are able to attend using this QR code or by clicking this link. Register for the event using the link here or the QR code.
