Call It Out Campaign

We are resharing our Call It Out campaign, which has already been shared with students across all year groups through assemblies this academic year.

Bullying is intentional behaviour that hurts someone else. It can include name calling, hitting, pushing, spreading rumours, threatening or undermining someone. It is usually repeated over time and can affect someone physically and emotionally.

We want students to report all incidents, even if they are unsure whether what happened would meet the definition of bullying. A single unkind or discriminatory incident still matters and should be shared with us.

Students can report concerns by speaking to their PD&G mentor, Learning Manager or any other member of staff. Learning Managers are available before school, after school and during social times.

The Call It Out form is another way for students to report concerns. Parents and carers should not use the form to report concerns on behalf of their child. If you have a concern, please contact the academy directly so that the appropriate member of staff can respond.

Students can also use the Call It Out form if they do not wish to speak to a member of staff directly. The form allows students to report concerns discreetly and responses go directly to approved members of staff.

Students must be logged into their academy Google account to access the Call It Out form.

When completing the form, students should include as much detail as possible. This should include their own name, the name of the person or people who were affected, the name of the person who was unkind, what happened, where it happened and when it happened. Sharing full details helps staff respond more quickly and accurately.

Students can access the form from home. In school, they can use an academy computer in Vision before school, after school or during social times. Students must not use their mobile phone to access the form while they are in the academy. If something happens during the school day, they should speak to a member of staff.

Please be aware that the Call It Out form is not monitored continuously. Submissions will only alert staff during academy working hours. If a concern is serious, urgent or requires an immediate response, students and parents or carers should report it directly to a member of academy staff rather than relying on the form.

For ease of access, we have included a small Call It Out section at the bottom of this letter. Students can print and keep this at home. It includes the web address and a QR code that links directly to the student reporting form. If you require a physical copy of this section, please ask your child to speak to Student Services. 

Please encourage your child to Call It Out if they experience or witness behaviour that is hurtful, unkind, discriminatory or unacceptable.
