I hope your child has enjoyed their first full week at the academy. It has been a real pleasure to see them fully engaged in their learning and settling in so well. This week, many students have taken part in enrichment sessions and continued their involvement in the ACE programme.
Following our Year 7 Information Evening on Tuesday, a few common questions were raised by parents and carers. I’ve outlined the answers below, but if you need any further information, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with the academy. I have also attached an adapted version of the presentation without the student photos.

The Portal provides access to:
- Attendance figures
- Praising Stars reports
- Praise comments from teachers (Years 7–13)
- Lesson timetables (Years 7–13)
- Information about consequences and sanctions (Years 7–11).
Several parents have requested support with Google Classroom. Please note that we have a lesson planned for Year 7 next week, now that they have their logins and are ready to begin using the platform. This session will provide a step-by-step tutorial to guide them through how to use Google Classroom effectively.
