Essential and Recommended PE Kit and Safety Equipment – Student Responsibility (Reminder)

Wed 28 Jan 2026
We are here to support all students in having a safe, inclusive and positive experience in PE. I am writing to remind you of the required and strongly advised clothing and equipment necessary for participation in various sports across our curriculum. Proper attire and safety gear are not only vital for comfort and performance, but also play a critical role in injury prevention.

Please review the information below and ensure that your child attends school with the correct kit and protective equipment on their allocated PE days and allocated sport(s) during each half term. Please note that the Winter Sports will run from September to April and it is the responsibility of each student to come prepared for their allocated sport(s), the time of year and resulting weather.

Student Responsibility and Safety

Please note that students who arrive without the correct kit or safety equipment may be unable to participate fully in the lesson and may be at an increased risk of injury. While our staff will always endeavour to minimise risks, it is essential that students take personal responsibility for bringing the correct gear and behaving appropriately in PE. In the event of an injury caused by a lack of appropriate equipment, kit or behaviour, the responsibility will rest with the student.

Should you need support in acquiring any of the required equipment or kit due to financial circumstances, please do not hesitate to contact the PE Department in confidence.

Thank you for your ongoing support in helping us maintain high standards in health and safety across our sporting activities.
