Children's Commissioner: Back to School Resources for Families (including useful links)

As it is the start of a new academic year, please find a link to the Children's Commissioner website which provides a wealth of resources and advice for families to support children and young people back into school.

The website includes Guidance for Parents on School Attendance which details:

Parent/carer responsibilities
If my child needs to be absent from school, what do I need to do?
My child has a short term illness. Do they have to go to school and will I be penalised if they don't. Plus the NHS guide on Is my child too ill for school?
